Best of Ladakh with Srinagar - Kargil | New Delhi | Pangong Lake | Uleytokpo - 11 Nights / 12 Days


Day 1 Delhi -
After arrival at Delhi airport, meet our representative who’ll guide you to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel. Rest and relax for the whole day. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 2 Delhi – Srinagar -
Next morning after breakfast, transfer to the Delhi airport to board a flight to Srinagar. As you reach Srinagar, meet our representative at the airport who will escort you to one of our listed boat house. After rest for a while on this floating villa, set out to explore the famous Mughal Garden portraying fine example of Mughal style of design and architecture. The Mughal garden is a combination of three renowned garden which are Shalimar garden, Nishat garden and the Chashm-e-Shahi. In the evening enjoy a Shikara ride at the Dal Lake. Enjoy overnight stay at the houseboat.


Day 3 Srinagar -
In the morning post breakfast, enjoy excursion to Gulmarg on a Gondola ride. The Gondola passes over the beautiful pine forests. One can enjoy the view of lush green hilly terrain and the panoramic views of the picturesque surroundings while enjoying the cable car ride. While in Gulmarg visit the Alpather Lake, located on the valley down the twin Apharwatpeaks. The serene lake features a triangular shape is placed in the backdrop of scenic hilly snow capped terrains. The lakeside garden adds the beauty to the surroundings making it a favorite picnic spot for tourist visiting Gulmarg. Later in the day return to Srinagar. Also visit the Shankaracharya Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight in Houseboat


Day 4 Srinagar – Kargil -
In the morning after breakfast, leave for Kargil by surface. Stop midway to visit Sonamarg. The town is surrounded by breathtaking glaciers and serene lakes. The beautiful flower-laden meadow is covered with snow in the majestic Himalayan mountain region. After visiting Sonamarg resume drive to Kargil. As you reach Kargil, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting and relaxing for a while, explore the valley for its breathtaking picturesque surroundings. The beauty of this region is further enhanced by the sheer contrast provided by the towering peaks of Kun and Nun which loom over the skyline in their crystalline majesty. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the camp.



Day 5 Kargil – Uleytokpo-
Next morning after breakfast, drive straight to Uleytokpo. En-route visit the Lamayuru monastery and the Lamayuru village for its lunar landscape. The monastery has a small temple dedicated to Avalokiteshwara. Also visit Basgo Castle that is situated on the hill of clay. Later on resume your drive to Uleytokpo. On arrival check-in at one our listed hotels. Rest and relax for a while in your room. After lunch, set out for an excursion to the Uleytokpo trekking base. Camping in Uleytokpo is considered to be one of the most beautiful experience. Overnight stay at Uleytokpo.



Day 6 Uleytopko –Alchi – Leh -
Post breakfast, head straight to Leh. Stop midway to visit Indus and Zanskar river Sangam, Rizong Nunnery, and Hall of Fame. The Rizong monastery is called the paradise for meditation and is noted for its strict rules and standards. Also visit Alchi - Ladakh's most loved monastery. Return to Leh for Lunch. Later in the afternoon proceed to visit the beautiful Leh Palace and the Shanti Stupa. Enjoy night stay at the hotel.



Day 7 Leh -
In the morning after breakfast leave for Leh. As you reach Leh, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After rest for a while in your hotel room embark on a visit to the Sankar Gompa that is 3 Kms away from Leh. This monastery serves as the official residence of the Ladakh's head of Gelukpa Sect. Later in the day visit the Phiyang Gompa that belongs to the Red Cap sect of Buddhists. After the visit return to Leh in the evening and enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 8 Leh -
In the morning after breakfast move out to visit Thiksey Gompa and the Hemis Monastery that is situated in the village of Ladakh . The monastery exhibits the gold-plated statue of Lord Buddha, called the Maitreya Buddha. Also visit the Indus Valley Monastery. The tour plan also includes a stopover at the Indus Valley monastery. Then return to the Leh city and after lunch visit the beautiful Stok Palace that lies on the bank opposite to Tsangspo River. Spend night at the hotel.



Day 9 Khardungla Pass. -
Post breakfast, get transported to visit Khardongla Pass- the world highest motorable pass. In the afternoon visit a Stok village’s local family for enjoying the butter tea and barley drinks. Later in the day visit Thiksey Monastery which is famous amongst the tourist for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. Stay at night in the hotel, at Leh.



Day 10 Pangong Lake-
Post breakfast, proceed to visit the most amazing lake of Ladakh- The Pangong Lake. The deep blue water of the lake is surrounded by tall mountain peaks and lies on the Indo - China boundary. This lake is set to change its colors four to five a day. In the evening return to the hotel in Leh, for dinner and overnight stay.



Day 11 Leh - Delhi -
In the morning, transfer to Kushok Bakula Airport to catch a flight for Delhi. Upon reaching Delhi airport, meet our representative who’ll escort you to one of our listed hotels. Rest and relax for the whole day. In the evening you may set out to explore the hyperactive night life of Delhi. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 12 Delhi -
On the 12nd day of the tour, move out on a city tour of Delhi. While on the tour visit major tourist attractions like Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, Red Fort, India Gate, the Jama Masjid, Humanyun Tomb, and President’s House. In the evening visit Red Fort to witness the impressive light and sound show. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi-
As soon as you arrive at the Delhi airport, meet Indian Holiday’s representative who will then escort you to your hotel for a quick check in. Spend the rest of the day as per your discretion. Overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.



Day 2 Delhi - Srinagar-
Get transferred to the domestic airport and board the flight to Srinagar. As soon as you exit the Srinagar airport, you are seated in a cab to be taken to your deluxe houseboat in Srinagar. Once you are rested, we take you on a dramatic Shikara ride to the floating vegetable gardens on the Dal Lake. Shikara is long, gondola-like boat that is beautifully decorated with flowers and rich upholstery. Dinner is served overnight in the Houseboat itself.



Day 3 Srinagar-
Day 3 is action packed and begins with a scrumptious breakfast. Once done, proceed to the day tour to the Mughal Gardens, Chashmi-e Shahi (The Royal Spring), Nishat (The Garden of pleasure) & Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). It’s not without a reason that Srinagar is a favorite with honeymooners and once you have visited these attractions, you cannot help but admire their natural beauty. Afternoon is reserved for another long, relaxing Shikara ride in the Dal Lake. Overnight in the houseboat/hotel.



Day 4 Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (112 Kms)-
Day 4 begins with a half day tour to Gulmarg – regarded by many as the most beautiful summer resort in the Kashmir valley. Gulmarg has one of the highest golf courses in the world and remains snow covered in winters, therefore facilitating skiing. You can enjoy a pony ride before hopping on a cable car to Khilanmarg . After an elaborate sightseeing tour of Gulmarg and Khilanmarg, return to the houseboat/hotel by evening for overnight stay.



Day 5 Srinagar - Kargil (via Sonmarg)-
Morning after breakfast, start for Kargil via Sonmarg. The Srinagar-Sonmarg stretch is one of the most beautiful drives you would have ever seen. The winding roads snaking through the lofty Himalayas are a sight to behold. During your halt at Sonmarg, take a pony ride (charges extra; optional) to Thajiwas Glacier, which remains covered with snow throughout the year. After you are dropped at your hotel in Kargil, you are treated to a refreshing welcome drink on arrival. Rest of the day can be spent at leisure. Overnight in the hotel.



Day 6 Kargil - Leh-
Kickstart Day 5 with a filling breakfast and proceed to Leh. As you arrive in Leh, we will arrange for a quick check-in to your room. It is advisable you use up this day to acclimatize to the low air pressure at higher altitudes (11,562 ft.) of Leh. Lunch & dinner at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.




Day 7 Leh-
Today, we show you around the beautiful Thiksey Monastery. This excursion is scheduled in wee hours of the morning since this is the best time to see the ethereal sunrise and the absorbing praying ceremony. Next is Hemis Monastery, one of the biggest monasteries in Ladakhregion. During your return to Leh, visit Shey Palace after which packed lunch is handed out. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.





Day 8 Leh (KhardungLa pass - 43 Kms. & City tour of Leh)-
The trip reaches its physical crescendo with a scenic drive to Khardung la, the highest motorable road in the world at 5600 meters. Go crazy capturing the views from the top of the pass. This road continues to the Nubra Valley from where you return to the hotel for hot, delicious lunch. Post lunch, you are taken on a whirlwind tour of Leh city. This is when you visit popular city attractions such as Sangkar, Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.


Day 9 Leh to Delhi-
Today, the trip draws to its end as we arrange timely transfer to the airport where you can board the flight to Delhi. As you arrive in Delhi, you are driven straight to your hotel where you can relax till you are taken back to the airport for your post-midnight flight back home.

Day 1 Arrive at Delhi-

Day 2 Delhi-

In the morning after breakfast, start for city tour of Delhi covering major tourist attractions like Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, Parliament House, Swaminarayan Akshardham temple, Humayun Tomb and Red Fort. In the afternoon visit India Gate, Qutab Minar and Chhattarpur Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.


Day 3 Delhi - Leh -

In the morning wake up early, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Leh. On arrival, check-in at one of our listed hotels and enjoy a nice, filling breakfast. We’d suggest you take full day rest for high altitude acclimatization. Later in the evening take a leisurely walk to Leh market, to buy pearls and coral jewelry. Spend night at the hotel in Leh.



Day 4 Leh-

Early in the morning leave hotel for full day excursion to the famous monasteries. Attend the prayer ceremony at Phyang and Spituk monastery. Later in the day, visit the Leh Mosque, Kings Palace and Leh Gompa. Also visit Shey Palace. Retire for the night at the hotel.


Day 5 Leh - Khardongla Pass - Leh -

Enjoy full day excursion to Khardongla pass, the highest motorable pass in the world. The Khardhongla Pass offers its visitors with the view snow capped mountains. Late in the afternoon return to the hotel, at Leh. Enjoy night stay at the hotel.



Day 6 Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh-

In the morning after breakfast, enjoy a full day excursion to Pangong Lake. The Pangong lake is one of the most amazing Lakes in the entire Himalayan region. The Lake is 5/6 kms wide and over 144 kms long with half of it running into the other side of the ‘Indo-China Border’. The lake changes color 3 to 4 times a day. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 7 Leh - Sarchu-

Next morning after breakfast leave for Sarchu. The place is located 222Kms away from Leh. It is an important halt that provides for tented accommodation on the Leh-Manali Highway. It offers travelers 15 Royal cottages and 24 Swiss Cottages for accomodation. These water proof camps are stitched out of canvas which is prefect to save you from cold winds. While driving to Sarchu on stop midway at Upshi to visit Hundur and Hemis monastery.Enjoy an overnight stay at the camp.



Day 8 Sarchu - Jispa - Manali-

Post breakfast, drive to Manali via Jispa. While crossing Jispa, spot amazing scenery and panoramic views of the lovely Himalayas that pass by you. Upon reaching Manali check-in at one of our enlisted hotels. Rest and relax for a while. After lunch, step out for visiting Manali’s major tourist attractions like Hadimba Temple, Tibetan Monasteries, Manu Temple and Solang Valley. Also enjoy Vashist springs for a hot sulphur spring bath, known to have medicinal powers. In the evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.



Day 9 Manali-

Wake up early on the 9th day of the tour, and move out for a full day excursion to Rohtang Pass. The place provides one with breathtaking vistas of the Himalayan mountain range. Adventure tourism is highly drawn to this place for enjoying adventure sports ranging from Paragliding, Skiing, Mountain biking and Heli skiing. You may visit Beas Kund and Dasohar Lake that are closely located to the pass. The water in both the spots is transparent and finger numbing. In the evening return to Manali and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.




Day 10 Manali - Shimla-

After breakfast, drive straight to Shimla. On reaching Shimla, check-in at one our enlisted hotels. Combination of car and on-foot walks are possible in several areas. After rest for a while step out to explore the major tourist attractions of the city like Jakhu Temple, Chadwick Falls, Jakhoo Hill, Dorje Drag Monastery, Christ Church and the Tara Devi temple. Day 11 Shimla-

On the second day of your stay in Shimla go Ice skating at the Mall Road. You may also visit the zoo at Kufri. The latter part of the day is reserved for Kinnaur Kailash Parikarma Trek to experience the Buddhism lifestyle, due to its proximity to Tibet. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 12 himla - Delhi -

In the morning after an early breakfast, leave for Delhi. Check-in at one of our listed hotels, upon arrival at Delhi. After some rest you will be transferred to the Delhi airport to board the flight to your onward destination.

Day 1 Manali - Keylong (117 kms)-

Begin your tour by driving towards Keylong from Manali, crossing the Rohtang Pass (3978 meters). Later, drive through Marhi, Koksar, Sissu and Tandi villages. On arriving in Keylong, complete the check-in formalities at your hotel. Leave for exploring Keylong town that may include Guru Ghantal Gompa, Shashur Monastery, Gemur Monastery etc. Stay overnight.



Day 2 Keylong – Sarchu (106 kms)-

After morning breakfast on day 2, hit the road to Sarchu, crossing Bara-lacha pass (4890 meters). This road journey is going to be amazing because of the surrounding natural beauty of the majestic Himalayas. Move to your camps after reaching the Sarchu plains. The rest of the day is free- explore the surroundings on foot, admire the picturesque location, indulge in activities of your interest etc. This area is quite popular amongst trekking enthusiasts because of its rugged terrain. Overnight camping.



Day 3 Sarchu – Leh (251 kms)-

Have breakfast and begin driving towards Leh through Taglang La (5328 meters). Cross the great plains of Moree. After arriving in Leh, complete the check-in formalities at your hotel. The evening is free at leisure-take a stroll around the city center, interact with the locals, visit the local bazaar etc. Stay overnight.



Day 4 Leh-

The morning of day 4 after breakfast is free. In the afternoon, proceed for sightseeing visiting the Shanti Stupa – a white-domed Buddhist chorten that is not only highly revered as a religious spot but is also well-known for the panoramic views it offers, Sankar Monastery- a Buddhist Gompa, home to around 20 monks. Later, visit the now ruined Leh Palace – the former residence of the royal family, built during the 17th century. The evening is for exploring the local market. Stay overnight.




Day 5 Leh - Nubra-

Today, get transported by road to Nubra valley through the Khardungla pass (17582 feet). After reaching, in the afternoon, check-in the Camp/hotel. Later, visit the popular Sand Dunes where you can see double-humped camels wandering and thorny bushes scattered all over the dunes. The day’s last visit is Diskit (Deskit) Monastery- the oldest and the largest Buddhist Gompa of Nubra. Stay overnight.



Day 6 Nubra - Leh-

On day 6 after breakfast, return to Leh. On arrival, check-in your hotel. The afternoon is free for leisure activities- explore the nearby area, interact with the locals, treat your eyes to the mesmerizing view etc. Stay overnight.




Day 7 Leh-

After breakfast, enjoy excursions to Phyang and Spituk Monasteries. Phyang is a Buddhist monastery housing a 900-yr old museum. Spituk is a Buddhist monastery which is home to around 100 monks and also houses a huge statue of Goddess Kali. Have lunch at your hotel. Post lunch, visit the Hall of Fame- a museum built by the Indian army in the memory of soldiers who died in the Indo-Pak wars. The other visits are the Tibetan Handicrafts Center and the market of Leh. Stay overnight.




Day 8 Leh - Pangong -

Have an early morning breakfast and leave for a day trip to the Pangong Lake- a beautiful lake with blue waters bounded by snow-clad Himalayan Mountains. Enjoy a leisure walk, admire the surrounding beauty. Have lunch here, explore the lake area. Return to Leh for an overnight stay.




Day 9 Leh - Lamayuru-

After breakfast on day 9, begin driving to Lamayuru. On the way, halt to visit the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar, Alchi Monastery- a well-known ancient Buddhist monastery that is one of the best preserved ancient Gompas as well and the ruins of the 15th century Basgo Castle. After arriving in Lamayuru, complete the check-in formalities at your hotel for an overnight stay.



Day 10 Lamayuru - Kargil-

In the morning, visit the lunar landscapes and the Lamayuru monastery- also known as Yuru Gompa, an ancient Tibetan Buddhist Monastery that is home to around 150 monks. Afterwards, proceed to Kargil. En-route visit the well-known monolithic rock -cut statue of Maitreya Buddha in Mulbekh village. This 8 m high statue dates back to 1st century B C. On arriving in Kargil by evening, check-in your hotel for staying overnight.


Day 11 Kargil - Srinagar-

Today is the last day of the tour. After an early morning breakfast, begin driving to Srinagar. En-route, visit Drass- known as the second coldest place on earth, often called ‘the Gateway to Ladakh’. Drive past Zojila pass and Sonamarg. After arriving in Srinagar, get transported to the airport.
